A Nazgul!*SQUEAL* We we were driving in Oregon and we all saw him! We saw the man in black! He’s a scary man…. He was standing by the road! I squealed and told Troy and Ray that “See! I was not crazy! I did see him at the Sears Tower and I did see him at Mt Rushmore!” but they just stared at him, up on the hill, in disbelief.

img_0109.jpgHe was standing on a hill by the side of the road pointing at us! We had to stop and gawk! Suddenly he appeared in front of our car and he was… HITCHHIKING! He wanted a ride.

img_0104.jpgI hid under the blanket in the backseat, and told him NO! NO NO! But Troy and Ray insisted in and picked him up, saying that now we have a 4th driver!

I don’t like him. He smells. And he doesn’t talk, just grunts and growls. I know this is going to end badly. Troy and Ray will be sorry they didn’t listen to me again!

A Moment With Charles and Nature

Friday, August 24th, 2007

I am writing as I sit in the back seat on me driving break. I’m sorry for me lack of posts. For I have been a slave to the road it seems. At least it keeps my mind off of that scary guy that’s following us. Troy and Ray still don’t believe Charles Daisy, but Charles Daisy knows what he sees.

charlesatrushmore.jpgYesterday I saw a mountain with a bunch of men’s heads carved into it. How on earth would anyone dream up such a monument is beyond me! I posed anyway, for when they put my face up there. The afternoon was quite a treat.

img_0209.jpgWyoming is such a beautiful place. I felt so much smaller than I really am, among all the gigantic mountains and rivers in Wyoming. We traveled up through the Bighorn Mountains and stopped several times to see the sights. It was so vast and so beautiful I didn’t want to leave!

img_0235.jpgWe arrived late to Yellowstone National Park, and unfortunately, Old Faithful didn’t want to co-operate with us, so we didn’t get to see it spout off.

We’re driving through Montana right now, through the Rocky Mountains, which is also beautiful and humbling. We’re looking forward to mingling and partying with our friends at the PAX party tonight. See you there!

Great Man in Black!

Charles at the wheelI saw da big man in black again! He has a sword! I swear he’s following us, but Troy and Ray tell me to just keep driving and roll their eyes. I’m getting quite annoyed that they not believe me. Hmph.

A Moment With Charles - Day 1

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Today was so exciting for me! First the guys let me drive more than my share. Well, actually they asked me to, but I didn’t mind because I loved it! The scenery in NY state is pretty. I’ve never seen so many trees and hills!

Little PeekAfter a long day’s drive, we finally arrived in the Niagara Falls area, but got lost trying to find our way into Canada. Finally, crossing the border, some lady in a little hut told us we needed an inspection and looked at me suspiciously behind the wheel! I was pretty nervous. Troy and Ray told me to “Just Act Natural” and not mention what was in the trunk!

6.jpgI pulled the car into a little stall and some scary men in black suits and vests came and surrounded us! The asked us to get out of the car and when Troy was carrying me around, one man kept staring at me funny! They found a big plastic sword in the trunk and laughed, asking what we planned to do with it. Then they asked us to go into this building and some lady behind the counter typed on a computer and let us go.

Dinner! Finally, just as the sun was setting we found the Falls! Let me tell you, it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seeeeeeen! Whoot whoot! I couldn’t believe the size. And the noise! Da roar scareded me! It was getting dark, and we were really hungry so we went to a restaurant and had some dinner. It was really good, but all Troy and Ray would let me have was two little prawns!! I was a little angry about that, but they did fill me right up.

After dinner it was dark out, and the lights for the Niagara Falls had come on, and they made it even more beautiful than before! The colors and mists were so interestingz. They tried playing with the camera, but Ray didn’t know what to say! Amateurs. I tried to get them to let ME host the video, but they said I was to little. Oh well! Tomorrow we get to see the Cleveland Browns stadium, Cedar Point, and Chicago! I can’t wait for another day!

Until tomorrow!

Argeth Margeth Pea!
